Why?

 Why?

Given that I have either not been permitted to travel for a while or have chosen not to, apart from a quick trip to Sydney to visit Jonathon and Yu Rong at the end of October 2022, I decided to combine my next visit to them with a road trip via the Princess Highway - a road I have never travelled.

The trial run at Fortescue Bay with Kris
The car is set up for car camping:  side awning adjusted so that rain does not channel down inside the passenger door (a little refinement that I discovered necessary last November); camp table and chair stowed, box of camping cooking gear packed and stowed; mattress and sleeping bag in the back; small bags with specific contents planned for particular positions.

The trial run, at Fortescue Bay for 3 nights with Kris was successful, with the note to self made that if 35knot winds are forecast it is best to pack up the awning in daylight rather than wait until there is a problem at 2am.

I have no intention of camping for the entire time - there will be some visiting friends, some AIRBNB and some camping in lovely spots.

The adventures await!
